Reflection - Image #5
Over coffee and omelettes last Friday morning, the light radiating through the window behind the subject allowed for a dreamy softness over the simply-adorned table. Though nothing is truly in focus, I wouldn't consider this composition distractingly blurry; in my opinion, it's the lack of definition that gives the image an appealing sort of calmness. The absence of focus also blends the metals into the smooth cloth, and makes the light illuminating the surface more interesting. Different materials capture the light in different ways, from the softer enhancement of the table to the striking highlight of the silverware and porcelain.
