This series of photographs was taken by my mother, under my own direction as to angle and desired composition. They were taken on a Sunday afternoon at Trinity Rep. in Providence, RI. It was a sunny day, allowing for great light source to stream through the windows along both the walls and the ceiling mosaic. We decided to shoot in a more spur-of-the-moment process, unintended but decided upon when the space seemed too beautiful not to. (The blue in the dress accentuated the tones of the tile floor and rooftop mosaic far too perfectly.) Through these pictures, I wanted to express a sort of serenity and grace, almost a quiet power. I think the overall tones made up a stunning layout - between the dress and shoes and background environment. The capture emotion, I believe, was also as desired: some images provoke a strength while others are a little more vulnerable.
